This was the Kobataen Green Tea Farm in Uji, Kyoto. Such a beautiful Japanese Green Tea farm to visit in this cooling and slightly rainy day ! Look at the greeny green tea leaves, will never get bored of looking at it. Love the greeny environment here. The air was fresher too compare to the city. The fresh air here was still clear in my mind when I close my eyes for memerizing the moments there. Surrounded by fresh and cooling air. Mind and soul are to be fresh too by inhaling in the fresh cooling air.
Ujitawara in Kyoto is a well known tea town as the birth place of Japanese green tea which was devised in 1738 by Mr. Soen Nagatani. This was the birth place of Mr. Soen Nagatani. Normally, visitors or foreigners will not reach or know about this place. During some other days, it was supposed to be open and you can do the visit and learn more about the history of the Japanese green tea here. Unfortunately, when I was here, it was not open, cannot get to know more about the history behind.
Who doesn't love dessert ? What's more I am at Uji, Kyoto, the origin place of Japanese green tea, therefore, for sure must eat matcha or green tea desserts. This is Yuji Patisserie located at Uji, Kyoto. It is just right opposite Nakamura Tokichi Honten, the famous origin green tea soba. After a walk around in Uji, Kyoto town, we were here for some local desserts. Japan's desserts are always that lovely cute piece of art, hope that I can have a bigger stomach and try every piece of them.
The breaded deep fried pork was sooo good ! It was recommended and booked by Morita-san. It was a Tonkatsu restaurant nearby his company, Kobataen. It was really finger licking good !
